Learn the dance styles that originated in Africa and then came to us via the Caribbean Islands and Brazil. Based on the Katherine Dunham Technique, this class builds strength through rhythmic exercises and develops co-ordination using movement involving isolations, bar work and progressions.

Live drummers accompany class.

Wear comfortable clothes and bare feet to allow free movement.

90 minutes

Streamside Farm and Garden at The Elkins Estate

The mission of the Streamside Farm at Elkins Estate is to improve community access to healthy food by growing produce and flowers in a chemical-free, environmentally sustainable manner. And, to use the Streamside Farm as an educational tool for raising public awareness on sustainable food systems.

You can purchase our produce at the Elkins Park Farmer’s Market every Sunday from 10 - 2 at High School Park in Elkins Park.
